Big Ben pictures

Exclusive photos of Ben Roethlisberger's motorcycle wreck earlier today. Let's hope this is one of those cases where things look worse than they really are.

And yet another point for natural selection.

he got hit by a car...you guys are right, total moron!

Anonymous said...

Anon--I think we're referring to the Big Ben not wearing a helmet. That oversight is his fault.

Anonymous said...

Whether he was or wasn't wearing a helment, It was not his fault. Yes he should be wearing one but it is his choice! Big Ben, get well soon and we will see you on the field.

Look at the piggy, he's munchin' on a donut! Do those bikes realy run on rice?

Anonymous said...

I hope he is never able to play again. Go Colts!

Anonymous said...

it is really sad so many of you take advantage of a situation like this to be petty and downright nasty instead of showing decency and compassion. truly pathetic ! As for anonymous who stated you hoped he could never play again you need real help ! That is truly heartless !

Again, stupidity has no limits. If it was Peyton Manning in the same type of accident, I highly doubt people from Pittsburgh or Steeler fans would make a comment that they hope he never recovers. To make sure that everyone knows how stupid that was he none the less makes sure that the whole world knows he is an upset Colts fan who thought they should have won the Super Bowl. How pathetic!!

"he got hit by a car...you guys are right, total moron!"

Whether he was cut off or not, we're not sure yet. But he T-Boned the hell out of that car. Last I checked, cars don't move sideways very well and he hit that car, not the other way around.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, the bike hit the car. That tends to happen when a car illegally pulls out in front of you. People say she had a green light but they don't know that the sign reads "left turn yield on green."

Anonymous said...

I can't believe some of the ocmments that I am hearing - First of all, the accident wasn't Big Ben's fault, it was the little old lady who made a left turn when she was supposed to yield.

As for him not wearing a helmet - As you have all heard by now, the law in Pittsburgh states that wearing a helmet is OPTIONAL! It has nothing to do with him being a "rolemodel". Just because he wasn't wearing a helmet isn't going to make kids say that they aren't going to wear one because Big Ben didn't! If anything, it should teach everybody a lesson in wearing helmets.

And, as for the ignorant Colts fan who wishes he never recovers - He's still hoping that your stinkin Colts have recovered from the a$$ whoopin they got in the Playoffs!!

GO STEELERS and Get Well Soon Big Ben - (and I mean REAL soon, I don't want Charlie off of them sidelines!)

Him not choosing to wear a helmet because it's optional is the dumbest thing this side of Jay Williams, Kellan Winslow Jr and Cheney shooting somebody in the face. That ranks right up there with "seat belts kill more people than they save". I'm sure he's a great guy and all, but always figured Big Ben wasn't blessed with an overabundance of schooling or commonsense. This just confirms those suspicions.

Serves him right...

Morons that ride without a helmet should be forced to sign their organ donor cards.

Hope he regrets this when his face is re-broken during a game...

Anonymous said...

For those of you who say I hope he never plays again and it serves him right, why don't you show some class. Ben has every right to wear or not wear a helmet! Most of you who are leaving rude remarks have never taken a ride on a motorcycle because you are too scared of wrecking. Try it and then you will see why Ben rides without a helmet and why he can not stay away from riding. GO STEELERS and GET WELL SOON BEN!

Anonymous said...

Riding without a helmet AND license? I had no idea ANYONE could be that stupid! Stupidity aside, I hope he heals quickly and takes this as a wake-up call!

Anonymous said...

For anyone listening to these comments by "anonymous" Dont even give them a comment back since they dont even have the BALLS to leave their name when they make STUPID remarks!! I dont even like the Steelers so it has nothing to do with who like who or who is jealous, its about a mans life and the hope that he gets better just like anyone of us would want for our family even if they made a bad decision driving or not

Anonymous said...

While I wish him the very best and I hope that he has a speedy recovery, I really cannot help but feel that his arrogance put him exactly where he is today: laying in the hospital, recovering from some very serious injuries. He's lucky to be alive, period.

Bill Cowher must be absolutely beside himself, I mean, he specifically asked Ben to at least wear a helmet if he insisted upon riding his motorcycle, however, Ben flatly refused to, stating that the law in Pittsburgh was repealed in that helmets were no longer mandatory, and he just plain didn't want to wear one.

Well, I have to wonder how he feels about wearing helmets now? I sincerely hope that he has learned a valuable lesson from all of this and in the future, I hope that he has enough sense to protect himself by wearing a damn helmet. Not wearing a helmet is VERY STUPID.

I think that Terry Bradshaw said it best last year when he also spoke to Ben about riding his motorcycle: "Ride it after you retire". It was great advise, but once again, Big, bad, Ben refused to heed anyone's advise.

Ben has been handed the world on a silver platter and has so much ahead of him in life and in his career, yet he knowingly risked everything, just so he could be recognized while riding around on his motorcycle....What a moron!!!

Bottom line, some people just do NOT deserve to be rich, famous, or athletically gifted.....

First and foremost, I don't think that anyone here is a "fucking douche bag" just because their opinion(s) differ from mine. Honestly, I respect everyone's opinion(s), even if I do not agree with them.

Now, as far as Big Ben goes, I feel sorry for him that he is laying in the hospital with some very serious injuries--my heart goes out to him and his family and I wish him a very speedy recovery.

However, he has shown some arrogance in the past in regards to not wanting to wear a helmet. He's a big boy and he made his choice, and now he is most definitely paying the price for it.

I hope that he leanrs from this. It's a heavy price to pay, but sometimes you need a little reality check now and then. I'm betting that Big Ben will be much more humble and a tad bit smarter in regards to wearing his helmet the next time that he jump on his motorcycle.

If he learns nothing from this, then he truly is a moron and deserves whatever happens to him. And that's not jealousy talking, that's just the plain, cold, hard truth. If he still refuses to wear a helmet after all of this, then he IS INDEED A TOTAL JACK ASS.

Hey, everyone is missing the point. The "little old lady" who torpedoed Ben is from Maine...she's a Patriot fan and meant to do it. Rumor has it that a syndicate out of Boston hired "Granny Ruth" to "make it look like an accident.

Hey everyone, what's better than one comment? Leaving the same one three times!

It just kept getting un-funnier.

Anonymous said...

Who's that? The mclochness monster? Sounds like a new happy meal.

Ross McLochness said...

And don't you forget it.

Anonymous said...

How heartless can some of you people be? I mean god....that could have taken his LIFE and CAREER away and he's only what like 23 or 24 years old! Yeah what he did was sorta dumb but it was his choice! Everone does stupid stuff at one point! From what i know the accident wasn't his fault! Wising any kind of harm on him is just down right ignorant! I quote "I hope he is never able to play again. Go Colts" That's as low as it goes! Just because we beat the crap out of the colts doesn't mean you should take it out on Ben! HE DOESN'T DESERVE IT....so back off!

You're a tough guy Ben...you'll bounce back and will be ready to play this season! I love ya Ben...GET WELL SOON!

Anonymous said...

Ben will be under center come the season opener...after having ridden to the stadium on his new motorcycle. Mark my words.

I'm interested to see what your faithful readers think.

Do you think this Big Ben accident will result in an increase of professional athletes being forced into "no motorcycle" or "helmet only" clauses in their contracts.

I know most have a blanket "injuries outside the game" clause, but have Roethlisberger, Jay Williams and Kellen Winslow wrought specific language necessities?

Anonymous said...

I hope Ben gets better soon. I am not saying the Steelers can't make it without them...but he sure does make a difference. GET BETTER SOON BEN!!!!

Get away from me Carl Monday!

i know that intersection, for the woman in the wreck, approaching the light to turn onto the 10th st. bridge, there is an arrow, ive saw it before, there will be a line of cars turning left to go across the bridge, and the arrow will turn yellow, and then there will be people in the back of the line gassin it tryin to make the yellow and sometimes its hard to see the arrow light at all and then boom they are all up in the middle of the intersection and people fly comin the other way there. ive seen a few wrecks there before. and if i remember correctly those are the tunnels the pittsburgh police blocked off in that chase and shot that guy to death in a few years back. i pray to god bens ok, this is one of the worst days in the history of pittsburgh, does anybody see the corelation between jesus christ and ben roethlisberger? he has an affinity with the number seven, his cursed ad for campbells was to air on 7 7 07, can he over come these injuries and return like the second coming of christ?

Browns fan ------

It is an unfortunate situation for anyone to have a motorcycle accident. As you can all see., I am a Steelers hater (kidding), but for this to happen to big Ben should send a clear message to ALL pro athletes: ride a bike and risk your career, PERIOD. In closing, I have fallen off of a bike in the past, by the grace of GOD, all minor injuries sustained. Get well soon big Ben and stay off the bike man, helmet or no helmet not worth it.

Steelers Die Hard Fan!

Ben, I am praying for you a speedy and excellent recovery. The team and your fans need you!

This was a very sad accident.

While I am not an advocate for motorcycles, I do believe if you make the decision to ride a bike you most definetly should wear a helmet, rather it is the law or no law.

For all of you pointing the fingers of who was at fault? Let this serves as a reminder this was just that an ACCIDENT. Accidents happen to ANYONE at ANYTIME regardless of your status. Just be grateful it wasn't you!

Anonymous said...

i hope he dies

Let's take a real person, make him an NFL star, and then expect him to be perfect. I'm not a Steeler's fan, not a Colts' fan, but I'm a fan of those people that survive. And Ben will return. From another person thrust into the spotlight, my wish for all of you that wish him ill is that you will learn about survival and being empathetic to people who the universe craps on.

Ross McLochness said...

That reminds me of a classic Kids in the Hall sketch with over-the-top gay club owner Buddy Cole.

He lamented how Canadians were always labeled "outdoorsy."

I think he then wanted gay to be replaced with "blonde."

Anonymous said...

He is a person. He has a soul people. We all make mistakes. Pray for him. He was blessed by God and Jesus to live. God bless you Ben.

Anonymous said...

Hopefully Ben will never return to his old form as an NFL quarterback. Dude, that sucks that your grill is all messed up now but i am a die hard Eagles fan saying F*** the Steelers. Besides, you can afford good plastic surgery now...

Anonymous said...

Eagles good luck, they show no signs of consistancy & your 10:06 am post also shows that you are less than human! You're just upset that your teams wings fell off and you can now get on your knees bitch & kiss the rings!
